We are pleased to announce that Stairway Partners was recently named a “Top Guns Manager of the Decade” by Informa Investment Solutions’ PSN separate account database (PSN). The PSN database is the longest-running investment manager database in North America and is used extensively by institutional investors and consultants.
For their Top Guns Manager of the Decade award, PSN ranks thousands of separately managed portfolio strategies across dozens of universes. As of December 31, 2015, Stairway Partners was recognized for the top-10 performance ranking of its strategies included in the Global/International Balanced Portfolio Universe over the last decade. The universe included 126 different investment firms covering 304 distinct investment strategies.
To achieve Manager of the Decade status, a strategy must have had returns that are greater than the style benchmark (60% Global Equity / 40% Global Bond) for the latest ten year period, while also maintaining a standard deviation of returns (risk) which is less than the style benchmark. After meeting these criteria, the top-10 performers become PSN Top Guns Managers of the Decade.
